For students preparing for 11+ Art Scholarships, GCSE, A-Level, university applications and art competitions.
From initial ideas and experimentation to finished artwork and presentation, students develop a portfolio that showcases their technical skills, creativity and individual artistic voice.

Build a Portfolio That Stands Out
Whether preparing for an 11+ Art Scholarship, GCSE, A-Level or university application, students receive personalised guidance to develop a strong and individual portfolio.
Working in a small group of up to 4 students, each student is supported according to their ability, goals and artistic interests.
What Students Will Learn
Students will:
- Develop strong drawing and painting techniques
- Explore ideas through research and experimentation
- Build a strong and engaging sketchbook
- Create a well-presented digital portfolio
- Develop their own artistic style and creative voice
- Strengthen observation, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Every project encourages students to explore, experiment and think creatively, rather than simply copying examples.
Portfolio Projects
Projects are carefully designed to demonstrate:
- Observation & drawing
- Creative thinking & idea development
- Technical ability
- Experimentation with different media
- Personal style & artistic identity
The finished portfolio reflects each student’s individual strengths, ideas and creative journey.

All basic art materials are included.
FREE Trial Lesson
New students are welcome to enjoy a FREE one-hour trial lesson before enrolling.
This gives students the opportunity to experience the class and allows us to understand their current ability, interests and portfolio goals.
Portfolio Completion
Every student develops at their own pace.
For 11+ Art Scholarship preparation, a portfolio typically includes at least 11 finished pieces.
Depending on the student’s starting point and application deadline, additional holiday sessions may be recommended to complete the portfolio.
Students are also welcome to bring previous artwork for review. Suitable pieces can be refined and incorporated into their final portfolio.
Digital Portfolio Support
Students who complete 7 or more portfolio pieces with us will also receive support in creating a professionally presented digital PowerPoint portfolio, ready for application submission.
This brings their strongest work together in a clear and polished format.
Payment & Cancellation
Payment
Monthly payment on a rolling basis.
Lesson Cancellation
Up to 2 lesson cancellations per term are permitted.
Any additional cancelled lessons will still be charged.
Independent Learning
Parents do not stay during lessons.
Working independently helps students develop confidence, focus and creative decision-making skills, while allowing them to fully engage with the artistic process.
Referral Discount
