Personalised Art Portfolio Guidance | Ages 9–17

For students preparing for 11+ Art Scholarships, GCSE, A-Level, university applications and art competitions.

From exploring creative ideas to producing finished artwork, our Portfolio Preparation course helps students develop their artistic skills, confidence and individual creative voice.

With a maximum of just 4 students per class, each student receives personalised guidance tailored to their interests, abilities and portfolio goals.

Build a Portfolio That Reflects You

Every student has their own creative strengths, interests and ideas.

Our course focuses on developing a portfolio that showcases each student’s artistic ability, creative thinking and individuality.

Rather than simply copying examples, students are encouraged to explore their own ideas, experiment with materials and make thoughtful creative decisions.

What Students Will Develop

• Artistic Skills – Develop drawing, painting and mixed-media techniques.

• Creative Thinking – Explore original ideas through research and experimentation.

• Sketchbook Development – Record, explore and refine creative ideas.

• Personal Expression – Develop an individual artistic style.

• Portfolio Presentation – Learn to select and present artwork effectively.

Friday | 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm
2-hour lessons

Course Fee
£60 per 2-hour lesson

Small Group
Maximum 4 students per class

All basic art materials are included.

FREE Trial Lesson

New students are welcome to enjoy a FREE one-hour trial lesson before enrolling.

This gives your child a chance to experience the class while we get to know their artistic interests, current skills, and portfolio goals.

Portfolio Planning & Preparation

Each student follows a personalised portfolio plan based on their goals, progress and application deadlines.

For 11+ Art Scholarships, a portfolio typically includes at least 10 finished artworks, although requirements vary between schools.

Students can also bring previous artwork for review. Suitable pieces may be refined and included in their portfolio.

Additional holiday sessions may be recommended depending on the application deadline.

Digital Portfolio Support

Students who complete 7 or more portfolio pieces with us also receive support in creating a professionally presented digital PowerPoint portfolio.

We’ll help organise and present their artwork clearly, ready for application submission.

• Monthly Payment – Pay monthly on a rolling basis.

• Flexible Cancellations – Unlimited lesson cancellations.

• Independent Learning – Drop-off lessons to encourage confidence and independence.

• Referral Discount – The Refer a Friend discount does not apply to this course.
